Offline Marketing

No matter what industry you're in, you need to be clever with your offline marketing. Even if you do have a website, you also need to be employing low cost effective marketing techniques to

  • drive new traffic to your website; and

  • let your customers know you have a website and what they can find there to help them

Using just one type of communication (eg: email or blogging or anything online) is not enough. Whilst it's certainly the cheapest way of communicating, it can also be very clogged. You should certainly be using offline techniques to ensure your message bypasses the clutter.

There's a number of occasions when it's better to use offline techniques. Here's a few to think about.

Letting Your Customes Know You Appreciate Them

Customer Appreciation will win over Self Promotion every time. Imagine how you would feel if your dentist or clothing boutique or financial planner or electrician sent you a note in the mail saying "Thanks - Really Appreciate Your Business." That's all they said. No promotion for buying more - just THANKS. Wouldn't that make you feel special? It certainly would to me.

One very powerful, easy and effective way to do this is through a fantastic new service which is now available in Australia called Send Out Cards. I'm incredibly impressed with this company.

You can choose from over 35000 card designs online, type a personal message onto the screen (which will be formatted into your personal handwriting) and press SEND. The card is printed in Sydney and posted to your customer. AND - it's cheaper than buying a card at the newsagent and posting it yourself.

Find out more here www.sendoutcards.com/63530. I guarantee you will be blown away by this concept.

Letting Customers and the World Know About
Your New Product or Service

When you're launching a new product or service, you will need to communicate details at least five times (preferably seven) to gain maximum take up from your database of prospects and clients.

You also want to reach people who you don't yet have in your database.

Free publicity in targeted magazines, newspapers and broadcast media is a fantastic method of generating leads and building crediblity.

However there's right and wrong ways to go about crafting a press release and distributing it. Most journalists and editors recieve around 50-200 press releases a day. Yes - a day! So you need to be strategic to ensure that your's gets noticed and acted on.

We cover this in great detail in our coaching programs, and include interviews with journalists who spill the beans on what they look for and what they file in the bin.

Our members enjoy great discounts on our range of Marketing Services - from PR, to branding design to website development and more.

Getting Your Customers to Promote
Your Business For You - Automatically

Word Of Mouth referrals is absolutely the best method of marketing you will ever employ. Think about it - if you want to hire a gardener or a plumber or a lawyer, you usually ask your friends, colleagues, neighbours or family if they can recommend someone. Don't you!

If you've built up a great relationship and provided an outstanding service, then chances are they'll recommend you without any prompting.

Fantastic! But there are lots of clever low cost things you can do to encourage them to do this more often. Check out the Commonsense Referral Marketing Manual for details of how to implement a Referral System into your Business
