I've loved the marketing side of business since I was at school, so I've never stopped learning about it. Every week I devote time to building my knowledge and skills in the latest marketing techniques. My clients deserve to know the pros and cons of every new marketing medium and system, so that they are confident that my advice is sound and ahead of everyone else. |

My Marketing Qualifications
Yes, I have the "quals". But most of what I learned at Uni is theory, and it nearly all relates to big business. What really counts is actual campaign experience and results. Particularly with small business where budgets are small and marketing results are crucial for survival and growth.
I've also attended around 35 short courses and seminars which have proved to be far more valuable for implementing strategies and techniques for small businesses. This includes internet marketing, copywriting, publicity, selling online, setting up joint ventures, creating digital products, event management, graphic design, public speaking, driving traffic to websites, and many more.
My Hands On Experience
Partner in 70 membership based websites which provide education and support in a wide range of business, health and social subjects. I've helped my partners conduct market research, develop the concept, develop and launch the sites and build the businesses to provide significant ongoing monthly incomes. I also have a couple of my own which tick over automatically and provide a healthy income each month. It's great waking up to more money in the bank each morning. Anyone can do this once they're shown how.
Conference Organiser and Speaker. A quick skim of records shows I've organised and presented at around 200 conferences/workshops over the years. I remember the days when we used actual "slides". Thank heavens for Powerpoint! I've run workshops for 20 to a mega conference for 800 from 12 countries. The secret to running exciting and profitable conferences/workshops is in the planning and marketing. Success is measured by the quality and quantity of testimonials - and of course - sales. Sales during and after. At one of our mega workshops our sales exceed $1.2 million. Not bad for 4 days work.
Marketing Consultant to small business. I've helped many different small business owners to market and grow their client base and profits. Image consultants, health club owners, hairdressers, yacht brokers, commodity brokers, motor mechanics, fast food franchises, flooring retailers and contractors, accountants, builders, corporate clothing manufacturers, promotional product resellers, automotive dealers, automotive repairers, mobile phone service providers and retailers, IT equipment wholesalers, architects, medical equipment suppliers, bio-fuel producers . . . Whilst the target audiences and distribution methods differ, the principles of highly effective marketing do not. I regularly hear - "my business is different". Of course every business is different. The methods I use to uncover and promote the differences are the same, and they work well, over and over again.
Management Roles in medium and large companies and organisations. The excellent training I received in mainstream marketing, project management and administration for TNT, Agrichem, Australia Post, Qld Rail and Qld Health have provided me with a range of skills that you just don't get in smaller companies. Many small business owners I've worked with are blown away by some of the project management, planning and analysis and procedural tools I've shared with them.
Their administration becomes less onerous, their business runs like clockwork and the customers are happy because the customer service levels substantially improve.
